Abstract

The liquid loading process in wellbore is one of the main reasons which causes production rate decline in gas-condensate field, especially in the end of field life. This process is influenced by many factors such as the change of hydrodynamic parameters, flow regime, well trajectory, properties of reservoir fluids or the change of production rate during operating activities. The article analysed the mechanism and the main factors that have impact on the process of liquid loading, based on investigations of the impact of production regime, well trajectory, reservoir fluid properties during production. Research results of hydrodynamic model of  multi-phase well-flow in Well W-3P show a high possibility of liquid loading and a high risk of operation suspension if gas production rate drops below 800 thousand ft3/day. This is the basis for operator to deploy solutions to prevent the liquid loading process and develop optimal designs for production wells with appropriate well trajectory and well diameter.
