Abstract

The high-sensitive ultrasonic method shows notable advantages among others in continuous internal corrosion monitoring of underground pipelines and tanks, especially for locations with limited space and hard to access. This paper presents the principle for applying high-sensitive ultrasound technology in the continuous corrosion monitoring inside pipelines and tanks in the petroleum industry.
