Incentive mechanism for associated gas collection in small and marginal fields in Vietnam
Abstract
Flaring is a means of disposal of associated gas in many countries in the world, which is awaste of natural sources and severely affects the environment. The current policies and mechanism in Vietnam have not effectively encouraged oil and gas contractors to invest in associated gas collecting systems, especially in small and marginal fields. The article provides an overview of associated gas potential in Vietnam and proposes some possible policy mechanisms for associated gas collection in small and marginal fields.
