Derivative tools and possible application to Vietnamese companies operating in the oil and gas sector
Abstract
Derivative tools help oil and gas companies in the world reduce the risks against changes in prices of crude oil, gas and related products. This paper introduces the derivative tools which are currently used in the oil and gas sector, analyses challenges and applicable chances for Petrovietnam‘s subsidiaries. Based on the analysis, the authors also recommend some specific implications for Petrovietnam to response when the derivative market for oil and gas sector is opened in Vietnam.
