Establishment and application of environmental performance indicators (EPIS) to enhance the efficiency of environmental management in refining and petrochemical field
Abstract
The research has set up specific EPIs for the refining and petrochemical field; and recommended reference EPI indicators for Dung Quat Refinery and Phu My Fertilizer Plant. Based on that, the authors proposed measures to improve the efficiency of environmental management for subsidiaries operating in the refining and petrochemical field.
The results of this study also provide guidance on the process of establishing and applying the EPIs as a detailed procedure in the specific steps of the PDCA loop; how to look up data, forms of data collection, and environmental data for the calculation and evaluation of indicators at the plant.
