Abstract

The “Guideline for establishing and applying process safety performance indicators for refining, petrochemical and gas processing activities” compiled by the Research and Development Centre for Petroleum Safety and Environment (CPSE) provides detailed instructions for establishing and applying process safety performance indicators. The guideline helps to identify and classify the two groups of process safety indicators (lagging and leading) into 4 tiers and will be an important document in supporting process safety management at relating companies. It will also provide the basis for Petrovietnam to audit the performance of process safety management at its affiliates in order to improve the effectiveness of safety management in general.
