Application of capacitance-resistive models for evaluation ofinjection well’s impacton production well
Abstract
Among the technical methods of reservoir characterisationand injection efficiency assessment, the predictive models often use energy or material balance equations to evaluate the reservoir's performance and properties. However, these and the tracer method often require a lot of money and time, so it is difficult to make early decision.
Based on the principle of superposition in time solution, the authorsdeveloped Capacitance Resistance Models (CRM) to match production history and to accurately evaluatethe efficiency of water injection. The paper analyses and selects the optimal method, then build the CRM modelsbased on the actual data of some fields in the Cuu Long basin.
