A study of appropriate solutions for construction and Installation of floating structures’ mooring system in Vietnam’s sea conditions
Abstract
This paper presents the technologies applied in the construction and installation of mooring systems for floating structures in the world. Based on design solutions for the mooring systems, the existing infrastructure capacity, equipment and facilities in Vietnam and in the neighbouring countries, appropriate solutions have been developed for the construction and installation of floating structures’ mooring systems in Vietnam. It is then specifically applied on a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) structure operating at Te Giac Trang field to evaluate the economic and technological efficiency.
