Study of the mechanical properties of Oligocene rocks in Cuu Long basin for optimisation of oil production using hydraulic fracturing
Abstract
The article introduces the principle of Oligocene tight reservoir formation as well as the relationship between the stratigraphy and the mechanical properties of Oligocene sequences E and F in Cuu Long basin. In addition, the authors present the methodology to estimate the geomechanical properties of rocks based on documentation and well test re- sults using hydraulic fracturing technique from 2012 to date.
