Increase the competitiveness of Petrovietnam's gas turbine power plant projects in Vietnam competitive generation market
Abstract
Petrovietnam's gas turbine power plants are facing a big challenge from Vietnam Competitive Generation Market (VCGM), especially where the regulations of VCGM are inadequate. In order to achieve their financial targets, these power plants should not only make recommendations to the government for improvement of the VCGM's regulations but also find the way to manage costs effectively and strengthen their competitive advantage. In this article, the author analyses the difficulties of Petrovietnam's existing gas turbine power plants in the VCGM and suggests some measures for improvement of investment efficiency.
