Updated Pre-Tertiary basement structural map based on interpretation of 2D-PVN12 seismic data
Abstract
The paper presents new structural characteristics and the updated structural map of the top of Pre-Tertiary basement of the sedimentary basins on Vietnam’s continental shelf based on integrated results of interpretation of over 21,000km of 2D seismic lines within the framework of the PVN12 project and data collected in previous geological - geophysical studies. The research results have contributed to clarifying the boundaries of the sedimentary basins, at the same time corrected the Pre-Tertiary structural map in many areas, ensuring consistency of the map across the continental shelf of Vietnam.
